Day 8: I can practice standing at a 45° angle to talk to children. This one seems pretty obvious: strike a non-threatening position to lessen the possibility of any escalation. Also, this posture makes it easier to read another person's body language, because you're not focused on staring straight-on into their face.

I'm the founding music teacher at Monarch Academy Glen Burnie, Maryland, USA. I teach Middle School Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Theater, Music Goes Global 6, and Creative Play.
