Greetings, snackers! Remember how I made 15 posts in the 15 work days we had in December each highlighting a different teacher skill I wanted to grow? Well, I wanted to give you some updates!
#1-I can practice speaking to a child that needs redirection later rather than in the moment.
PRESENT SCORE: 8.5/10
I think I'm doing this with reasonable fidelity, and when I do, it feels right and seems positive. It takes some doing to make time to meet with each child one-on-one, but they seem to appreciate it. There seems to be a sweet spot of time between incident and conversation--2 days later max seems like the limit. There are still instances where I think I need to keep tweaking my lessons so that fewer moments of redirect are cropping up in class. It's definitely a keeper, though!

Happy snacking!
